Krissy and Ericka: The Pop-Tastic Acoustic Duo

In the past few years, the music industry has been dominated by bands, solo artists and even duo. Duo, it is formed by two people; it is a sibling, friends or whatsoever. One of the most memorable DUOS of all time is the Norwegian M2M. Here in our country, we have our own talented and beautiful duo in the likes of Krissy and Ericka.

Krissy and Ericka are Filipina sisters.They are one the most sought-after singing prodigy in the country. Regine Kristine “Krissy” Villongco and Ericka Renee Villongco had made young and vibrant twists to some of the most unforgettable songs in early 90’s. Pop Acoustic music is their key in having a very good career in the local industry and international scene.

Krissy is more of the singer-type between the two, while Ericka gives their song a cute touch by brewing the back-up vent for her sister.

Their self-titled debut album was released in 2009 under MCA records. It redeemed awesome reviews and applause from Filipino Audience. Their rendition of The Corrs’s song “Runaway” was the theme song of the hit Korean Drama “Smile Honey” shown in TV5.

Krissy and Ericka’s covers of different types of songs are well viewed by their fans in Youtube Channel. Their cover for the Taylor Swift’s song “Sparks Fly” was shown in Ryan Seacrest’s website. This goes to show how talented they are.

Their current song 12:51 written by Krissy, is just one of the hottest heartbreak/moving on love songs today. It charted 6 in the Philippine music charts.

At their very young age, Krissy and Ericka continues to create their own mark in the music industry.
